Brian was born in Torquay, and always lived in the Devon area. He has worked in Local Government for Torbay Borough Council, For Vospers Car Garages as an Aftersales Manager, as well as jobs such as in a Holiday Camp and he has worked as an Actor performing in many stage shows, as well as on TV, appearing in ITV's Benidorm and also DCI Banks. He is therefore very used to public speaking, with a good variety of tone, and people can easily hear every word.
Brian read Theology at Cliff College now part of Manchester University, and although he is not affiliated to any religion, but he has a broad understanding of most religious beliefs. Brian conducted his first funeral in 1995, and has over 30 years experience and in this time has conducted over 5,000 individually designed funerals, being one of the most experienced and knowledgable Funeral Celebrants in Devon to create and real personal funeral.
Every service conducted by Brian is personal, he takes time when arranging the service to ensure that the service truly represents the person, and their loves and personality. One of the things families often like, is that Brian is very good at coming up with ways to help personalise the service, and thinking outside of the traditional box. Brian also uses modern technology to make create things like Visual Tributes for services, which although can be created by the Crematorium, it means it is personal for each family. Brian also adds his own personality to a service, insuring the service is upbeat, and is a real celebration of life, which is so helpful at such a difficult time. He has compiled his own book of Poems and Readings to allow families to choose what is right for the service.Want to read it? Click below.

Brian, We wanted to thank you for leading my Dad's Celebration of Life so beautifully. You gave it a loving energy that we truly appreciated. So many people have said it was the 'best' funeral they'd been to. It was everything we wanted and more and a great part of that was down to you. A million thank yous!
